At just before 4:30 PM (ET) the Vermont House in a largely procedural step, has offically passed Bill S-115 which would allow same-sex marriage in the state of Vermont.
The vote was 94 for, 52 against, not enough to stave off an expected veto by the Governor of Vermont Jim Douglas.
It is expected he will get the bill on Tuesday.
